Description
This Turquoise Vessel with Gumnuts is hand thrown in midfired dark speckled clay. The sage green glaze is transformed into shades of turquoise over the dark rich clay body. Paper string and jute have been woven through the pierced holes in the top of the vessel to create a sculptural sleeve. Waxed linen thread is looped through the string and jute to attach the gumnuts. Decorative turquoise beads have been added at the top of the vessel below the woven fibres.
PLEASE NOTE
This vessel is handmade and unique.
Authentic, handmade ceramic vessels can show some variation in colour, shape and texture from piece to piece. Artistic authenticity is our goal rather than identical mechanical reproductions.
